Hand-Drawn Metallic Print Character 009

This series begins as a simple pencil sketch on paper. These rough, hand-drawn characters are then scanned and imported into a computer. Using Adobe Fresco on a large-scale touch-screen monitor with a drawing stylus, the images are digitally transformed. Custom-developed brushes in Fresco give each piece a unique, personal look. Once digitally drawn, the images are refined, color-processed, and given a halftone effect in Photoshop.

The series is printed on Red River Polar Gloss Metallic Paper 255 on a Canon imagePROGRAFF 1000, with each image sized at 11"x17" on 13"x19" paper, leaving a 1" white border.
